Why Family and Portrait Photography?
With a culmination of events, I’ve finally landed here. Here doing what I believe is my calling, helping people capture their special moments. It is actually the reason why I started my professional photography journey, I wanted to capture all my momentous life events. I continue to do so for families and individuals alike.
Photography has an interesting magical quality, it’s like a snapshot into the past, long ago or in-time, it can trigger memories, even far in our psyches. Photography presents us with an opportunity to record our realities in a way we may not see.
In 2009, I got my first black and white DSLR film camera, as I decided to take a course in photography to gather more knowledge and learn better techniques. I shot many unusual subjects, and studied many photographers for their aesthetic approach and notoriety. Alas, none of this interested me more than actually being able to capture portraits of people.
The moment I was able to photograph people, I realized I really enjoyed shooting portraiture photography. With my discerning eye, still focus, and taste for quality; I continue to look for the beauty in everything. My specialty is getting the money-shot, or in group sessions, the honeypot of images that represent families in their best light.
In group settings, photography sessions tend to be much more fun; with family or friends, these photoshoots make the most memorable photos. Mothers with their babies, Fathers and their sons, the whole family unit; all which should be professionally photographed as often as possible.
Our time is fleeting, days go by, seasons change, and if we can have something that remains. It can and should be a wonderful photo, of a magical moment in time.

Portraiture Photography
Whether it is senior photography, acting headshots, corporate profile photos, and /or social media profile line ups; portrait photography is an ideal session for individuals who want to update their personal photos. Portraiture has a subtle way of telling a story about an individual. A persons face, expression, and gestures can say so much. There are words in the eyes, and breadth in their light.
Josie Marie Photography currently hosts Portrait Photography sessions in the local areas of Boca Raton, Deerfield Beach, and Delray Beach. Most sessions are taken in outdoor environments, and photographer continues to practice social distancing measures.
Planning & Budgeting
Josie Marie Photography Portrait Photography Sessions have the best local rates in the Boca Raton, Deerfield Beach, and Delray Beach Locations. You can plan your next shoot, by checking out our calendar of events.
Location & Props
Josie Marie Photography is known for outdoor, light and airy styles of photography. Ideally, most shoots will take place at a pre-selected location, but photographer will also take recommendations from clients. Client can bring their own props.
Gallery & Prints
After editing process has been completed, photos will be available at Josie Marie Photography’s Gallery for 8 weeks. Client should download their Digitals, and back them up to a hard drive, and cloud based storage system. This ensures photos are protected from loss, alternatively client will have print packages available that provide yet another, more tangible layer of preservation.

Branding Photography for businesses is probably the best of both worlds when it comes to photography. Not only are individuals photographed, but their product, services, and lifestyles are captured as a sequence of events. Our business packages are suited to fit all different kinds of businesses, from restaurant / food photos, to corporate and / or independent business owners.
Different businesses already covered in this scope of work include: Landscape company, luxury swimwear line, product photography, Yoga Instructor, restaurant venue and food, and so on.
